Gina L. Colón,
born and raised in Nicaragua, beautiful tropical land situated
in the heart of Central America. Gina graduated from La Estrella
High School in Madrid, Spain and went on to pursue her studies
at the University of Wisconsin in Stevens Point, earning
a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and minor studies
in Spanish and French.
While earning her degree,
she taught Spanish to children, in addition to working as
a tutor for the Foreign Language Lab. Gina’s special
skills and experience include tutoring pre-schoolers all
the way to business people.
Her students are taught
in a fun, hands-on environment; one appropriate for beginners,
intermediate and advanced learners. Her teaching methodology
not only includes the fundamental aspects of the language
but also emphasizes the Spanish culture through the use of
music, reading and conversation for an enriching experience.
